What information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us, mainly when you request a quote, ask a question or get in touch. This can include:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your property address or postcode
  • Details about your project, including any photos, drawings or documents you choose to attach
  • Any other information you include in a message to us

We also automatically receive some technical information when you browse the site, such as your approximate location, browser type and pages visited — see the Cookie Policy for more on this.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
  • Arrange and carry out any work you instruct us to do
  • Keep records of our correspondence and any agreements
  • Improve our website and the service we offer

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Our legal basis for processing

We process your information because it's necessary to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to take steps towards entering into a contract with you (for example, providing a quote and carrying out building work). Where we don't need your information for these reasons, we only use it with your consent or where we have a legitimate business interest that doesn't override your rights.

Sharing your information

We don't share your personal information with third parties except where necessary to deliver our service, for example:

  • Trades, suppliers or subcontractors involved in delivering your project, where relevant to their work
  • Service providers who help us run this website and process enquiries, such as our web hosting and form provider (WPForms)
  • Where we're required to by law, for example to comply with a legal obligation or regulatory request

Photos, drawings and file uploads

Our quote request form lets you attach photos, drawings, plans or other documents to help us understand your project. These files are used solely to assess and quote your project and are stored securely alongside your enquiry. Let us know if you'd like a file removed once your project is complete.

Cookies

This website uses cookies to help it function correctly and, where enabled, to understand how visitors use the site. Full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them are set out in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry and project information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, deliver any work, and meet our legal, accounting or insurance obligations — typically no longer than six years after a project is completed, unless we're required to keep it for longer.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure hosting and encrypted (SSL) connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct any information that's inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information, where there's no good reason for us to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we're relying on consent to process your information

To exercise any of these rights, get in touch using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our website or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
